 * So, I just got myself a domain called “meji.se”, and I thought that I would install
   WordPress there.
I downloaded the _.zip_ folder, and followed the instructions
that was written down in it, but as I upload them to my FTP server (Through the
program SmartFTP) and try to install it with “install.php”, it just shows me
   [**this**](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v660/meijerem/wordpressscreendump.png)
message over and over again. Anyone know where I did go wrong?
 * Also, this might help out a little:
_I’m on a Windows Vista 32bit Using Mozilla
   Firefox 3.0.6
 * Please, help me solve this.

 * I have the exact same problem, WordPress is installed in a file within a html
site. Can any one tell me what Samboll means? How do you install or activate
PHP? What would the process be to some one like me who has never done this before?

 * I do not think it is as simple. I have the same problem. PHP is activated. I
installed wordpress before on two other sites with no problems at all. But at
my new site I downloaded the wp 2.7.1. could it be that I am using the same database,
   but different user?
I spent a whole morning already cleaning out and reinstalling,
so it could be that in the process something got fouled up. Appreciate your comment.

 * After mycomment, I decided to use a new database and user name and the problem
was solved. I have wordpress now installed in the root. another lesson learned.
