  • Just because a plugin is old and hasn’t bene updated, doesn’t mean that it’s a security risk. There’s only a risk if there’s something “bad” in the code, so if that plugin has been coded in a way that there’s no issues, then it’s secure.

    Of course, knowing this is true for ourselves may be a bit harder, but unless you can find any issues with it, or you can see eveidence of any hacking attempts through that plugin, I wouldn’t be concerned about it just because it’s a little older than some. 🙂

    Okay, thank you for clarifying my doubts.

    It had a warning sign for compatibility issues and as wordpress keep upgrading itself for security fixes, I thought if an old plugin/theme can open security loopholes.
