 * My problem is with the plugin written by Ryan Prins (www.lazyi.net). The next
   page link `?page=2` results in an empty page.
 * I have enough items in the list to handle four pages with my 34 wishlist items..
 * any clues? I am also using a plugin to allow run php in pages/posts (runPHP)

 * wishlist.php is included.
 * put it in your wp-content/themes/YOURTHEME-folder,
    go to Write -> Page and it
   will be in the template list to the right. 🙂
