Hello, in WordPress’ Site Health I get an an active php session was detected error & The REST API encountered an error. I don’t understand what to do, I have searched all over internet and this forum but everywhere it says to deactivate the plugins. I did but that is not causing the problem. Also tried with the default WP theme, also that is not causing the problem.

The weird thing is.. I have two sites, and they both have everything the same and on the other site I don’t get the errors.

How can I discover what is causing the problem? Can someone help me with this?

    Thank you.

Did you try the default theme AND all plugins deactivated at the same time? There can be strange theme/plugin interactions that are not caught by doing one or the other but not both.

Verify that there are no must use plugins. Via FTP or your hosting file manager, look for any files in /wp-content/mu-plugins/. If there is no such folder you don’t have any must use plugins.

If that doesn’t help, try reinstalling WordPress.

Hi! thanks for the answer. I did all that and still it gave me the error.
There was no other choice then to delete everything and re-install and everything works fine now. 🙂
