• On a worldwide scale, I wonder what the cumulative time spent installing ‘Classic editor’ adds up to? I wonder if that number is higher than the number of hours that have been saved by Gutenberg’s forced inclusion….

I encourage Gutenberg as an idea. I like its potential. But default inclusion while it still breaks such a huge amount of workflows is an exercise in hubris.

Much of the cool stuff I like to do in WordPress is broken by Gutenberg, and installing ‘Classic Editor’ is a mandatory part of every new install.

2 years of terrible reviews and it’s STILL a forced obstacle in every single install.

If this were any other decent developer, they’d have listened to customer feedback and backtracked pretty damn quickly.

Bit of a fail until a ‘classic editor’ switch is included as standard.
