I have SiteKit set up on many sites and have it set to share with “Any admin signed in with Google” for the Dashboard sharing & permissions. It usually has worked great and without issue.

Another staff member on one site is a full admin on the GA account and can log in there without any issues to see the raw Analytics for the domain cannot get SiteKit to load when logged into WordPress. When she logs into WordPress, SiteKit asks her to set up the Google connection again, which always fails.

We have tried resetting up the plugin a few times and it works fine for me every time, but on her end, even if we start from scratch, it always fails to even set up to begin with. It steps through the Google sign in steps to verify the ‘7 things SiteKit needs permissions for’ etc., but always ends in a failed set with errors such as ‘Failed to check requirements for the site’ or simply a failed, disconnected SiteKit.

Again, we are both full admins on the GA account, and on the WordPress account. Mine works, hers does not.

Any thoughts on the failures she is experiencing?

Hi @efishinsea, thanks for getting in touch.

Based on the error you’re facing, I suspect that either the user is using a Google Workspace related email, or a site configuration is resulting in set up failure. To determine more on this and ensure you can complete set up, please share the following:

    1. Does the same occur if they try to complete set up using a different Google account, a standard gmail account? Note that you can change this after.
    2. When attempting set up from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.

I think it is a Google Workspace email. Why would that not allow this to work normally? Is there a workaround?

@efishinsea Thanks for confirming this. This could be due to a few different configurations at Google Workspace level. I would recommend the workspace admin to check that the relevant services are enabled for everyone including Analytics.

You can find the services here with this screenshot highlighting the Search Console service. If your issue is with Analytics specifically I would suggest checking the Analytics service to ensure the admin having issues has access or it is set to “ON for everyone”.

If Analytics isn’t restricted at Workspace level please let us know and we can investigate this further.
