# Another Install Problem

 * OK I have followed the Tutorial on installing Xampp and WordPress to the letter
   and like SO many people here am getting the Error Establishing a DB Connection.
   I looked at many of the other posts in this forum regarding this problem and 
   either I don’t understand something or I’m missing something because I don’t 
   see a real fix for this. It appears that everything was created correctly as 
   there is a DB for WordPress in Xampp and if I type in [http://localhost/wordpress/](http://localhost/wordpress/)
   in my browser I get the following:
 * Index of /wordpress
    Name Last modified Size Description
 *  Parent Directory –
    wordpress/ 13-Mar-2010 11:02 –
 * Apache/2.2.14 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8l mod_autoindex_color
   PHP/5.3.1 Server at localhost Port 80
 * Can someone please help me get this running? Thanks in advance!

 * That’s the tuourial I followed. Let me ask a dumb question, at the end when it
   says, In your browser, go to [http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php](http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php),
   I type this into my browser at my home page location, right? In other words as
   if I was going to another web site?

 * Success! Figured it was something on my end. Realized I needed to change the 
   password to ‘,’ and voila! Thanks for your help.
