# Another Parse Error

 * Upon installing the plugin my site crashed. No recovery, I’ll have to restore
   from a backup.
 * Reading the support forum, I see this is a known issue. My PHP is indeed 5x rather
   7x however, _there is no notice of this issue in any of the install media_.
 * Don’t you think this is something prospective users would want to know about?
 * The question of whether WordPress has desupported 5x is irrelevant. There are
   still plenty of people using it. My ISP refuses to go beyond 5 so this is not
   an possibility for me.
 * A simple notice in the install instructions would have prevented this and I’d
   still have a working site.

 * Hi, sorry to hear that you have a big issue. What kind of error was shown when
   the site crashed?
 * There should be no major errors with PHP 5.6, the plugin should be working.
