    Hello everyone,
I am sorry I am talking again about sitemap.

For a staging website that I am testing in local I am trying your plugin, and I have a question:
I have UNSELCTED include all type of posts and I selected only “posts” and “Pages”, but the ARCHIVE is a PAGE and it is in the posts sitemap.

For seo purpose it does not matter if the archive is in the posts sitemap, but it is not good if it does not appear in pages.

I tried to check on your documentation, an I did not find how o solve it.
    Any clue?

@pressvibes I am afraid that I am not entirely sure what you mean. Would you mind sharing a screenshot or two of what page you’re seeing in your sitemap so that we can take a closer look and help you better?

    Hello,

sorry it will be just some screenshots, as I said it’s staging website:

    1) the list of pages:

    2) the pages sitemap:

As you can see there is not the archive page

    3) the posts sitemap:

The PAGE Archive is listed in the posts list sitemap, any clue how to solve it?

Ah right, we do indeed add the blog (posts) archive page to the posts sitemap. This is intended for SEO purposes. We add it at the top to guarantee it is crawled by search engines, considering the fact that it is a high value page as it basically serves as a “gateway” to all of your blog articles. This is totally fine and nothing you need to worry about. While it is indeed a Page inside of WordPress, to search engines it’s just a web page like any other, so it does not matter to them what sitemap index it is included in.

Let me know if that makes sense!
