 * Hey All!
 * I have a Solr server setup and curious if anyone has used Solr without a plugin?
 * (I’ve tried the WPSolr plugin (which doesn’t seem to work well for me and doesn’t
   display facets for some reason – but may be the best bet…just hoping not).
 * There must be a way to just index the database and push the output to the website?
   I would think that’s how developers utilize it that build a site from scratch?
   🙂
 * The other thing I’m considering is using “Open Semantic Search” which provides
   quite a few connectors to hit the DB and a front end UI that looks like it should
   work great…but having an HTTPTransport but, before I tackle that I’m just wondering
   if anyone else has gone down this road and what you might suggest?
 * Thanks for any advice!
    Rob ps…I have 100K posts and Solr is the only thing that
   searches as fast as needed. I’m certainly open to other search servers provided
   they have the same capabilities – and are free 🙂
