 * Hi,
 * I need to have an API Key generated for my WordPress account. I tried filling
   out the form to get the key but got the following message:
 * “We only provide support for WordPress.com blogs here. Please go to the WordPress.
   org Support Forum for further help.”
 * Even though my site is a WordPress blog:
 * [http://www.dansbanners.com](http://www.dansbanners.com)
 * Am I missing something here?
 * I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

   you need a wordpress.com API key to use Akismet or some other WP.com service
 * Get an API key by registering an account (you don’t have to create a blog) at
   [http://en.wordpress.com/signup/](http://en.wordpress.com/signup/) and your API
   key will be emailed to you.
