# API Key

 * I’m trying to install the wordpress.com stats plug-in and I need my API Key.
 * Okay, so the problem is that my account with WordPress is linked to another blog
   which I no longer update. And when I go there for my API Key it says something
   about going to Akismet where apparently I have to pay.
 * So my question is how do I get rid of the old blog down, and my new one linked
   to my account so I can get my API Key?
 * When I go to “Register Another Blog” it seems like it wants me to start an entirely
   new one but my new blog is up and running, on wordpress. I’m sure this is a fundamental
   misunderstanding of how exactly wordpress works but any help would be appreciated.
