 * I need my API key so I can activate a plugin – however – after following Instructions
   I cannot find my API key anywhere. Any help much appreciated.

 * Another question – I want to create my own categorys and add links – but how 
   do I do this. I add a category – but there’s no where put your link – it just
   says description.

 * I’ve already read that link above – it doesn’t say “My Account” or “Profile” 
   any where just “My Profile” and that hasn’t got the API key.

 * You need an account at wordpress.com – you don’t have to have a blog there, just
   an account. Once you have that, your API key will be in your profile there – **
   not** in your own blog.

 * If you are self hosted you need to set up a non-blog account with wordpress.com
   
   To do this: Go to [http://wordpress.com](http://wordpress.com) (different from
   WordPress.org) Click the large SIGN UP NOW! button. Fill in your information 
   and at the bottom click Just a username, please, NOT Gimme a blog. They will 
   send you an email with your API key, otherwise go to My Account and it will be
   there. When typing in the API URL simply type in your self hosted web address
   and follow that by /xmlrpc.php. Here’s an example: [http://www.yourURLfromyourselfhostedsite.com/xmlrpc.php](http://www.yourURLfromyourselfhostedsite.com/xmlrpc.php)
