# API Key Error

 * Getting an API key error, however the API key is correct.
 * The video in your documentation on how to create the key is VERY VERY OLD and
   the process is completely different… In any case, I created a new key and restricted
   it to just the YouTube Data and Analytics API calls.
 * Not sure what to do next.

   Google video for YouTube API Key is 4 years old, I should prepare my own video
   for that.
 * Yet, there is couple minutes (5-10) timeout required to wait before key become
   available to use, as you found meanwhile 🙂
 * I’m happy to see that you get YouTube Channel working fine on your website.
