# API problem – not connected

 * hi, i tryed to put this plugin to my web page and connect with mailchimp account.
   But there is still problem with connection :
 * Uh-oh, we were unable to verify your API Key. Please check them and try again!
   
   The server said:Could not connect (ERR 1: Operation not permitted)
 * U generate in my mailchimp account 3 different APIś but is still same for all.
 * could you pls help me?

 * Hey there,
 * Thanks for posting. Generally these types of errors are related to something 
   on the hosting-side of things, rather than an issue with the plugin or API keys.
   As a means of testing this, you may consider attempting to connect the plugin
   on a different web server (or perhaps a local env) and ensure that the API key
   and plugin are working fine with a parallel setup.
 * If it’s working there, then the best bet would be to reach out to the hosting
   provider or your server administrator to ensure that things are setup correctly
   to allow the plugin to communicate as it should.
 * If it does not work in a parallel env, feel free to post back here and we’d be
   happy to take a closer look.
