 * I blew 3 hours today and 20 mins with Shopify support to find out – on a hunch–
   that this Plugin (nor the embed code provided on Shopify’s site) doesn’t work
   with WordPress multisite. Has anyone else experienced this and is there some
   kind of fix or workaround?

 * Hi Joe,
 * I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, we’ll do our best to get you
   the help you need.
 * First, are you referring to the cart or the product display itself? Current product
   embeds only show a cart that persists over the main domain itself.
 * Second, could you please share the URL for your website/sites as well?
 * Thank you for your patience!

 * Hello,
 * I am referring to the product display. I understand that the final result is
   that the ‘cart’ is a lightbox over the site.
 * Using the Shopify plugin “Add Product” button from the main edit window in a
   WordPress post on a multisite install (using subdirectories, not sub-domains),
   I tried embedding the product itself and then just the “buy button”. Neither
   were visible on front end.
 * I turned off all plugins and themes (except for the default) and tried again.
   Same result.
 * I then tried using code tags and I also installed a code embedder and tried using
   Shopify’s button code – copied from the Shopify account I am using. Same result.
 * I then installed a clean, standalone instance of WordPress, without the multisite
   option enabled, with no plugins and no theme – except for the default. The button(
   and consequently the product ‘widget’) appeared.
 * These sites are under development and I am not at liberty to pass along the sites
   publicly.
 * Is there a fix for displaying the product in a multisite setup?
 * Thanks.

 * Hey Joe,
 * Sorry for the delay. Would it be easier if you could share the the site information
   to us privately?
 * If yes, please email us at [buybutton@shopify.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/apparently-does-not-work-with-wordpress-multisite/buybutton@shopify.com?output_format=md).
 * Our team wants to dig deeper into why the WP plugin and the Shopify Buy Button
   are both failing in this situation.
 * Please let us know, and thank you for your patience!

 * Thanks for getting back to me,
 * I figured out the issue. For some odd reason, every time I updated a plugin or
   theme ‘permissions’ were changed (?) and I was unable to see the work. Easily
   fixed in Safari as I merely dumped by cache / history and the work reappeared.
   Not so easy in Chrome – gave up there. Still haven’t located the exact issue,
   though but couldn’t waste any more time.
 * Question: Is this plug the same as the one authored here?

 * Hi Joe,
 * Yes, that is the same plugin. In that one it comes with packaged with a specially
   designed theme.
 * Please let us know if you have any other questions.
