Well, if every post link reads http://yourblog.com/ you’re going to get the front page of your blog every time. Once you have your permalinks changed, you’ll probably have to go back and manually edit each past post.

i wasn’t clear enough
the url’s show like this for example… no year or month in them

all works well but the archive links… i think this is because there are no months in the url, but i don’t want any numbers in them and i can see many blog work the same with a good working archive

Hi,
I been trying to fix this issue for weeks now and no luck… any chance someone out there knows what I’m facing with here.
It’s really annoying i can’t have monthly archives working. Not even sure how important they are, but just having a thing not working make me go mad!
Any luck on this? I have the same issue on my wife’s blog:

I’m using custom permalinks: /%category%/%postname%/
If I use any of the “Common Settings”, it works.
