# [archives] shortcode

 * I’m trying to put the archive page on any regular page. The reason I’m doing 
   this is because I have some text that I’d like to have on the top of the Archive
   page.

    seems you are referring to a WordPress.com feature: [https://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/](https://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/)
 * you will need to install the Jetpack plugin [https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/)
   and activate the ‘shortcode-embeds’ under ‘writing’ to make use of the `[archives]`
   shortcode in your WordPress.org site.
