    Hi,

I just did a brand new WP + Jigoshop install on my wamp server (local) but for some reason I cannot add any attributes/variables to products.

    What I did:

    1. Create a new attribute > configured the terms
    2. created a new product > set product type to variable
    3. Add attribute to product > I can use the button ‘add attribute’ but the attribute disappears when I save the product.

I consulted the documentation on how to add variables and noticed that the button ‘is for variation’ is missing.

Any idea what causes this? Did I miss something in the set up?

    This is my system info:

    Hi Eva,

Please be sure that your Attribute Type is set to ‘Multiselect’ in order to get the ‘Is for variation’ box to appear in the product setup.

To check to see if an existing set of attributes is set to multiselect be sure to navigate to Products > Attributes and hover over the label of the desired attribute and click the ‘Edit’ button underneath. It’s important to click the ‘Edit’ button because clicking the label name does something different.

Ah, that explains it, thank you.

I would however consider to change the name ‘multiselect’ because it made me think that more than one option could be selected vs. a ‘select’ drop down that allows you to choose only one option.
