# Authentication Code Problem

 * Hi there, a long time ago I set a two-step authentication for my wordpress account.
   
   However recently I have a problem logging in to the account due to this authentication
   code.
 * Previously I used the Google Authenticator App to get the codes.
    But the app
   got deleted and somehow it disconnected from my account and cannot be used to
   get codes.
 * Thus I decided to go for the SMS function to get my verification codes to log
   in.
    Just yesterday I was able to use the function. But today it doesn’t.
 * First it shows that the code has been sent via SMS, however I do not receive 
   it after many minutes have passed. Thus I click on the SMS function to resend
   the code, but instead of showing that the code has been sent, i am redirected
   to my log in page.
    And this happens in a cycle.
 * I even tried to reboot my server and my phone’s connection. No change.
    Resetting
   my password does not help & I cannot deactivate the two step authentication if
   i cannot log into my account.
 * Kindly give me a solution asap.
    As I have to do up a blog as an assignment and
   this issue is hindering my progress. Thank you!

 * Use FTP to disable the Two Step Authentication plugin.
 * Rename the plugin folder as **yourpluginfolder.old**.
 * The only issue with the Two Step Authentication is: due to excessive load on 
   Google server or due to your mobile career, you might receive sms/call for verification
   pin or you mightn’t for the time.
