 * My mistake i was trying to make the authentication with OAuth 1 and it needs
   to be with OAuth 2, thanks. [https://docs.brainstormforce.com/how-to-get-mautic-api-credentials/](https://docs.brainstormforce.com/how-to-get-mautic-api-credentials/)

 * Hi,
 * From what I’ve heard OAuth 2 will stop working after X days (depending on your
   settings), were as OAuth 1 works forever.
 * I changed the Access token lifetime (in minutes) to 0 and Refresh token lifetime(
   in days) to 0 in the mautic API settings, I then registered a WP account (after
   waiting over 2 minutes) and it synced the WP user to Mautic.
 * 1.) With the OAuth 2 settings set to 0, Do you know if the OAuth 2 API will last
   forever?
 * Reason I ask is that I don’t want to have to worry about the WP user and Mautic
   sync API to stop working in the future.
 * Cheers 🙂

 * [@jono](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jono/) OAuth 2 API will not last
   forever.
    Many providers support bearer tokens which are very weak security-wise.
   By making them short-lived and requiring refresh, they limit the time an attacker
   can abuse a stolen.

 * Thanks Rahul,
 * I’m not worried about attackers, just want to set and forget get without needing
   to keep re-adding the API
 * 1.) Do you know there are any plans to make it work with OAuth 1 API in the future?
   2.) if not is there is any other way to simply get it to work forever?
 * I’d be nice to at least have the option.
 * Cheers mate
