Authentication Issue

I’m just starting to manage a site that someone else set up a few years ago. They have the Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights plugin installed and active but not configured. I set up a new Google account today that I can use to manage the site and related communications for the organization. While logged in to the new Google account, I activated Google Analytics and followed your instructions to add a property for tracking/analytics. I then returned to the WordPress Dashboard, and launched the SetUp Wizard, followed the steps and I get the “Authentication Issue:” message indicating “The selected account doesn’t have any Google Analytics Web properties….”

I have viewed videos and reviewed support materials. I even deleted the property and created a new one. I know there’s a time delay between starting analytics and being able to view them but is there also a time delay between when a Google account is created, analytics activated and when I can authenticate MonsterInsights to the account? If not, what else should I be trying? TIA
