# Author-based sort errors

 * I’ve used the short codes
 * [zotpress userid=”######” collection=”#######” sortby=”author” order=”asc” style
   =”turabian-fullnote-bibliography” target=”new” notes=”yes” cite=”yes” download
   =”yes”]
 * But, once the page finishes loading, the sort is not in order by author (e.g.,“
   Open” before “BCcampus,” “Rice” before “Duolingo”).
 * I also have the same behavior on another website if I attempt to use author-based
   sorting. But, date-based sorting seems to work as expected.
 * Would you have any suggestions for remedying this issue?

 * I just noticed that IE and Firefox both list the authors in proper order. The
   error occurs when the page is opened in Chrome, but opening the page in an incognito
   tab still displays the contents with a not-quite-by-author sort.
 * Do I need to do something to the page so that it will display properly for Chrome
   users also?
