    Hello,

    One of our authors noticed that on older blog posts the author box is missing. In looking at it and trying to recall when I first installed your plugin, it is possible that the issue is affecting only posts that were published prior to beginning use of the plugin. It affects all posts older than January 2019.

    The author box does display perfectly on newer posts (in the last 1-2 years). In the Virtue Premium theme, the “Blog Post Author Box Default” is set to “No, don’t show.”

    In the Authors->Settings->Maintenance tab, I ran “Create default Author Boxes” in case it might help resolve the issue, with no effect.

    The posts definitely have specific authors assigned. In the example I shared with you in the “link to the page you need help with” there is no author box visible. If I look at that Author’s profile via Ultimate Member, you can see the post listed in their posts (https://genuinecontact.net/user/eiwor-backelund-jacobsson/?profiletab=posts)

    Information that may be relevant:
    – WordPress Version: 6.1
    – Theme: Virtue Premium
    – Using Ultimate Member plugin, which also is built upon the WordPress Users

    Could you please reassign the author and update the post again? Does the author box appear then?

    Hi Riza,

    I wasn’t sure what you meant by reassign the author, so I’ll tell you what I did and hopefully that is right. I opened the post to edit it and removed Eiwor as the author and clicked “update”. This automatically assigned our default user (Genuine Contact), which did not make the author box appear. Then I removed the default user and added Eiwor as the author again. After updating the post, there is still no author box.

    Was that what you intended for me to do? If not, please let me know how to properly reassign the author and I’ll try again.

    Yes, that is what we are referring to.

    If that does not solve the problem, there is no easy way. Try troubleshoot it by deactivate all plugin except PublishPress Authors. Does the box still did not come up?
