Author pages do not work when the function is enabled in the plugin

I have the Mission News theme installed, and when I enable “Enable author pages” in the plugin settings, author pages stop working.

I turned on the function again and surprisingly everything worked. the problem is no longer relevant.

@niphalym Do you use any SEO plugin on your site?
If yes, you should be able to set that up on the SEO plugin as we did not handle the meta description from our template.
For example, if you use Yoast SEO, you could set that up on Search Appearance > Taxonomies > Authors:
Different plugins will have different configurations.
