# Auto redirection issue

 * Hi All,
    I have a strange issue, and need your help. I have add a new page in
   my site, but it redirect to an old page automatically. I don’t add a redirection
   URL in under the tools->redirection. When I trash the old page, it still redirect
   to it and shows “Not found page…..”. Otherwise, I have met this problem before
   and when I delete the content under tools->redirection, it resolved. But this
   time, it doesn’t work. Anyone can tell me what causes this situation and how 
   can I resolve it.

 * BTW, my wordpress version is 3.1. Maybe I choose a wrong version when I submit
   this question.

 * I had an issue with WP on an older version where when I added a page and cliked
   it I got a 404 error. If that is what is happening to you, then I’d guess that
   you use a custom permalink structure? If so, set the permalinks back to default
   and the set them back to your custom structure – that should hopefully fix the
   issues.
 * 3.1 is now out of date, so I’d recommend updating to the current version, 3.2.1.
