# Auto Update FAIL

 * Hi,
 * I am trying to go from 2.8.6 to 2.9 via the auto update in my admin section. 
   After I hit the “auto update” button it claims to be downloading the appropriate
   files but it actually does nothing.
 * Help?

 * Check with these options:
 * -> disable all the plugins
    -. add this code in htaccess
 * php_value memory_limit 64M
    php_value max_execution_time 300
 * If these does not work then go for the manual upgrade of your blog.

 * it works!
