# Automatic link generation

 * Hi,
    I’m just wondering if it’s possible to set up an internal link generator
   that parses posts and creates an automatic network of links in the blog. What
   I’m looking for is something like this: I post something about a video player
   like Media Player Classic for example, and talk about it in comparison to Video
   LAN, which I have talked about in another post. WITHOUT having to specify a link
   or anything, the generator superimposes a link to the original Video LAN post
   on the words in the Media Player Classic post. Is this kind of plugin/extension
   available, and if not, where can I get started making it?

 * You’ve got to specify something with regard to what you write being considered
   a link – else wp is going to link every letter isn’t it ?

 * Yes, I understand that problem. Somehow I would have to specify that the words
   are not ‘common’ english words but proper nouns, etc. I have the ability to program
   the logic if need be, but it might include using a data dictionary or testing
   for word repetition… 🙁
    Not exactly I care to do, but if I have to I will. Thanks
   for the link. 🙂 However, it is not quite what I’m looking for.

 * Just an update: I’ve figured out that I can probably redirect the posting function
   in WordPress to a link generator that goes through the post and matches words
   with other, previous posts. I think I’ll make it so that you can specify which
   words will be used, and what will never be used, or just not be used for that
   post.
    If anybody wants to steal this idea, feel free. I don’t have all that 
   much time for programming at the moment… 🙁
