# Automatic proxy detection on different environments

   Currently using Solid Security on a site with 3 environments (dev, stage,
   pro), with Proxy Detection set to “Security Check Scan.” Does this need to be
   manually refreshed each time we push changes to Production, if that environment
   is the only one using a proxy?Thank you for your time and help!

 * Great question!
 * Yes — if you’re pushing **database changes** from staging or development to production,
   you’ll want to **re-set the** **Proxy Detection** **Setting **afterward on your
   production site.
 * This is because Solid Security stores its settings (including proxy detection)
   in the site’s database. So when the database is overwritten, those settings go
   with it — even if your production environment is the only one using a proxy.
 * If you’re just syncing files and not touching the database, you should be all
   set.
