    Good Morning,

I created a not-for-profit aggregator of social news using Cybersyn, and everything seems working fine on our wordpress site.

We tried also to have automatic tweets of the published posts using other wordpress plugins, but all the plugins we tried to use give the same result: tweets with broken links link (404 errors) that will become live some hours after the tweet is posted.

We tried to troubleshoot the logs but without success.

Could you please give us some advice?

The auto-tweet plugins that we tried to use are the following:

    SNAP Autoposter
    WP Twitter Auto-Publish
Accesspress Twitter Auto Post (which is currently in use)

You can check for yourself on the twitter account unitanews that all the links in the first tweets go to a 404 page, but going back in time links are working.

It seems like the twitter plugin knows before Cybersyn and WordPress which posts were published, but it should work the other way round: first publish the post, then generate the tweet 🙂

    Thanks again

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

As far as I remember, WP Twitter Auto-Publish was working well with CyberSyn. The only thing it can’t handle is the post thumbnail images, because WordPress publishes the post first and only after that it attaches a featured images to it.

In the end, I gave up using WordPress plugins. Now I am using IFTTT applets to generate tweet with images from the RSS feed of the site. It works and this is what matters to me.

By the way, the problem was not the publishing of thumbnail images.

My issue was related to published tweet with thumbnail images linked to “ghost” articles that weren’t stored anywhere on wordpress. The only possible source for the inormation used in those tweets were the contents pulled by Cybersyn…
