# Automatically Creating Duplicate Drafts

 * Some of our users are seeing duplicate posts/pages being randomly created when
   editing posts/pages. From what I know, it appears to happen somewhat randomly.
   I’m wondering if something is triggering the creation of these while editing 
   a post? Thanks for your help!

 * I could not see random duplication of posts via Yoast Duplicate Post plugin. 
   Since there is no specific set of steps to replicate the scenario, it is difficult
   for us to check this.
 * So I would suggest the following:
 * Is your site’s WordPress version, theme and plugins are updated? If yes, kindly
   check conflict on your site to narrow down the issue.
 * Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not,
   we recommend using the [Health Check & Troubleshooting](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
   plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which **does not affect normal
   visitors to your site**. Often, we see problems occur in combination with another
   plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to **deactivate 
   all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme** like [Twenty Twenty-Two](https://wordpress.org/themes/twentytwentytwo/).

   the reply. I will try to replicate this error to get more information. That said,
   do you know if there is any scenario in which a duplicate post draft would be
   created while in the block editor?

 * If you click on _clone_ or _New Draft_ for a post, say post A, then a duplicated
   draft version of your post A will be created. Please check the [screenshot](https://snipboard.io/K1QiDc.jpg).

 * We are still experiencing this issue. Several users are still, seemingly randomly,
   getting duplicated posts that they did not initiate. Have you gotten any other
   reports of this happening? Specifically, in a somewhat large multisite environment?
   I wish I could provide more context, but it is difficult to reproduce the issue
   or pinpoint exactly when it is happening. Thanks!
