# Automatically Raise User Level

 * I was thinking of trying to make a wiki type site with WP, and was wondering 
   if there was a way to automatically raise the user level of anyone who registered?
   That way i would not have to up all their permissions by hand.
    I figure it’s
   just a matter of finding the number in the code? If someone could point to the
   right file… Thanks in advance, ~Erik

 * I’ve done a quick search and I can’t find anything.
    I would though consider 
   what you want to do – after all, if I registered on your blog with a higher than
   0 user level, I could cause havoc in there – and there is no backup for you to
   rollback to.

 * I use Mediawiki on my machine – most good.
    Yes you could backup but if it’s 
   wiki behaviour you need, I’d go for that. You could always use WP to blog about
   how good the wiki is 🙂

 * I have a similar question… But it relates to a single category. Can I set the
   minimum posting level for a single category?
