I spent hours looking at and trying out gallery plugins today. Wish I had found this one first. It’s just what I was looking for.

Now I can just tell my users to build a regular gallery in WP and the images will be put into a nice slider. No extra panels to deal with, nothing that they are unfamiliar with, no having to add in a shortcode, just build the gallery and it will work!

The ‘photopile’ style is very cool, if I had a splashier site I would use that in a heartbeat. However, I really needed something more controlled and compact – and ‘unite’ fits the bill exactly.

I would like to request that ‘unite’ either have the images sized proportionally by default, or there be an option to set proportional as the default mode. Right now, images are stretched or cut by default, and I can click on an icon with up/down arrows to size it correctly, but since I have lots of different size images on my site, it would be good if it was proportional the default, so peoples heads aren’t cut off!

2nd small request..? Would it be possible for it to only load on pages/posts that include a gallery? I’m a fiend for being as efficient as possible, hate to load things that are unneeded, and I don’t use galleries often.

3rd thing that would be handy is a way to see captions, like on ‘unite’, perhaps show the caption with a tool tip type thing on image mouseover, or something like that?
