Hey there,

I have this timeline where I’m using the plugin and it’s working well. The client has requested though that after you click on the Read More button on a tile and it loads the page with the info, on that page I’ve done a Back to History button but this goes to the top of the page rather than the tile where the user came from.

Is there a way to do this?

Example:

User goes on https://jungai.com.au/about-us/our-history/ and clicks on the Read More of Voice of Gangalidda in June 2010 which takes user to: https://jungai.com.au/about-us/our-history/the-national-apology/. On that page, the Back to History button should take the user back to https://jungai.com.au/about-us/our-history/ but to the Voice of Gangalidda tile and not to the very top of the page.

Thank you for sharing the details and the example links.

After checking on our side, this behavior is not related to our timeline plugin. The “Back to History” button is outside the plugin’s functionality.

We checked using the browser’s default back button (the back arrow before the address/search bar), and it correctly redirects the user to the same position on the page from where they previously navigated. This confirms that the timeline is working properly.

To achieve the same behavior with your custom “Back to History” button, additional custom code will be required on your site, as this is not handled by the plugin.
