# Backend Caching/Refresh issues

 * Hi, I’m having issues with WordPress. This is what happens:
    In order to see 
   changes in activated and inactive plugins I have to refresh. In order to see 
   changes in the post list I have to refresh. When I add a new post, sometimes 
   WordPress says that it has a security copy ready, even though it’s a new post.
   The security copy is usually the post saved before that one. Some posts disappear
   out of the blue, but then later come back. Some don’t come back at all.
 * This is what I have tried.
    Disabled Cloudflare. Disabled all plugins. Reinstalled
   WordPress 4.6.1 Downgraded WordPress to 4.5.4 and then back. Repaired the database.
   Optimized the database. Disabled swap serverside. I don’t have varnish installed.
   I use Apache, I think nginx is not installed either.
 * So far I think the problem is with the server, but I’m not sure how to troubleshoot
   that. I’d really appreciate the help.

 * Have you also tried:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as
   well as server and/or [browser caches](http://www.refreshyourcache.com/). Not
   just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well [such as Cloudflare](https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169246-How-do-I-purge-my-cache-).
   That will solve many weird JavaScript issues. – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients). Sometimes, an apparently inactive
   plugin can still cause problems. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the
   mu-plugins folder (if you have created such folder). The easiest way is to rename
   that folder to mu-plugins-old. – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty
   Sixteen) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue(
   theme functions can interfere like plugins).

 * Still not working.
 * I have also updated PHP 5.5 to 5.6, restarted mysql and the server.
 * The problem is still happening.
 * It seems like the wordpress backend is serving a cached copy no matter what, 
   instead of asking the server for new one.
