    Hi,
After latest upgrade, I cannot access the backend page of tablepress. In network dashboard I can see TablePress in the side menu but clicking it shows the following error page:
    Cannot load tablepress.

The plugin is network activated but it is not showing in the sidebar menu of the dashboard of any site in the network. The following url gives the same error page above:

    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=tablepress

No relevent errors in the error log.

Not sure if this error in debug.log is related to the issue:

PHP Notice: Function map_meta_cap was called incorrectly. When checking for the edit_page capability, you must always check it against a specific page. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 6.1.0.) in /home/uobaghdad/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5835

    Hi @uobmaster,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

As mentioned in the other thread, this only affects “Network Activations” on multisite installations. I have now received a few reports about issues with that, and I think I may have found something, and will ship a fixed version shortly.

In the meantime, to restore access to TablePress in the admin dashboard, can you please try the small code modification that I explain at
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/tablepress-in-wp-admin-inaccessible-after-2-0-upgrade/#post-16317051

As for the other error, I don’t think that it’s related as TablePress doesn’t use edit_page capability checks.

    Thanks!
    Tobias

    Hi @uobmaster,

    great! Thanks for the confirmation!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!

I have the same problem with missing TablePress command on the sidemenu after recent upgrade of the plugin.

Thanks for the temporary solution with commenting one code line. It helped me.

I have network websites on my WordPress (mydomain.com/en/ , mydomain.com/fr/ etc)

    Hi @jessforest,

    thanks for confirming this!

A fix for this is now also available in TablePress 2.0.1 that I just released. Updating is recommended.

For more details about that release, please see the announcement.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
