# Background Image | Elementor

 * Hi there, my background image is only available if I move my cursor to the top
   menue or to the scroll button to the right. When I move the cursor to the content
   of my website however, the backgroudn image disappears and I wonder why… Thanks
   for your help.. Thomas

 * Upon checking, it looks like the background image is applied only to the active
   state but not to the hover state.
 * To resolve this, ensure that the background image is also set for the hover state
   so it remains visible when hovered over.

 * Hi Rica,
 * thank you so much. Yes, the button “normal” was activated, not “Hover”. After
   changing this, the problem has been resolved.
