# background image was "confusing"

 * So I submitted a theme and got this in the rejection:
 * > REQUIRED: The background image from aside posts is confusing, please remove
   > it.
 * I gotta say guys, that’s a stupid thing to put “Required” on.
 * [Here’s the image](http://wptest.herbertlives.com/wp-content/themes/monkeyduck/images/aside.png)
   
   That’s “BTW” common shorthand for “By The Way” which is a fitting association
   with something marked “Aside.”
 * 1) seriously, this is basis for rejection?
    2) How do I appeal this call?

 * Yes, Chip, your unnecessary update to a 10 hour old thread was very helpful. 
   I already went in ticket (after I went to the mailing list and was yelled at 
   there for being in the wrong place — perhaps WordPress moderators and helpers
   should coordinate to get the correct information out the first time).

 * Yes, in the same sentence you mentioned the mailing list. note that the mailing
   list is what you linked to. You didn’t express that one was better, and the link
   implied that’s where I should go.
