backup error

    It looks like I am one of the victims of the backup failure too. The last time UDP was able to backup was in mid February. I tried to restart it manually a few times, I got the same error. Thanks in advance!

    Here is the log files last part:

    I just updated UpdraftPlus and it’s now working. Try it 🙂

    Thanks! I did try after the update and the error log, which I partially pasted, was from that failed attempt.

    To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the complete back log?
    You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP.
    You can send the log file as an attachment or copy the contents into an online tool (such as http://pastebin.com/ )

    Binary zip: error 9 – the user aborted zip prematurely with control-C (or similar)

    So, someone killed the zip process – either manually, or perhaps there is something automated on your server that does that.

    If you’re not sure how to prevent that, then switch to a different zip engine by adding this to your wp-config.php: define(‘UPDRAFTPLUS_NO_BINZIP’, true);

    @bkerman Don’t post log data in these forums. It does not work past 10 lines. Use another service such as https://pastebin.com/ and share the link to that paste instead.

    Thank you for sharing the logs.

    Can you please check if you have space available on your server, If possible try to delete the old backups.

    Re-run the backup process and check if it works.

    I have space on the host server and where it’s being backed up. Moreover, I switched my google drive accounts to make sure and nothing changed.

    Another update but still fails to back up. I think it’s time to move on from this software.

    Hi,

    The log says:

    Zip engine: ZipArchive (a.k.a. php-zip) is not available or is disabled (will use PclZip (much slower) if needed)

    You should ask your web hosting company how to enable php-zip – it’s normally a few clicks in the control panel somewhere. PclZip is, as the log message says, *much* slower.

    Thank you. That actually worked. I guess it was turned off at some point during updates or it somehow worked even though it was slow.
