• I’m about to back up my wordpress, usually when backing it up, I never back up its information schema on phpmyadmin. Am I need to back up information schema as well?

  • The information_schema is for use by MySQL. The only database you should need to back up is the one being used specifically for your site. There is reference material and a walk-through guide for phpMyAdmin method here – https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Backing_Up_Your_Database

    I’ve read that page many times and several other pages about WP back up, but none of them specifically telling me NOT TO back up information schema, so I just want to make sure.

    Ok then, I’ll only back up WordPress SQL. Thanks for your help!
