 * Hi,
 * BackWPup follows the time set in your WordPress settings, not the server time.
   Could you please confirm that your WordPress timezone is set to match your local
   time? You can check this under **Settings > General > Timezone** and verify from
   the preview shown there [https://shottr.cc/s/1mQ5/SCR-20250918-tub.png](https://shottr.cc/s/1mQ5/SCR-20250918-tub.png).
 * Let me know if adjusting this resolves the mismatch.

 * Our current time zone is Vienna and this is correct.
 * If we start manually a backup the timestamp is also correct in Backup list.
   Yesterday
   we disabled all scheduled backups only the database backup should run at 23:50(
   11:50pm)It starts at 4:05 and after 1 minute it stopped with the log entry“Compressing
   files as a Zip archive. Please wait a moment.”No more log entry and no end of
   the backup. I stopped it now at 1 pm a day later.If I start it manually it doesn’t
   need more than 100 seconds and runs well.
 * Same with the other backups – manually everything is ok.
   With scheduled time
   start they start on any time but not on the time we have in the setting and than
   they stop with an error. But run well when we start manually.Old version worked
   well. We deleted all legacy backups when we changed to new version.

 * P.S.
   We’re also a bit confused that the backup is adding the xxx-pluginlist.xxx.
   txt file to the backup file list, even though we’re only backing up the core
   files, excluding all plugins. It seems like something has gone wrong. Can we
   still create backup jobs using the old settings (which worked perfectly but were
   unfortunately deleted by us)?

 * Hi [@urka](https://wordpress.org/support/users/urka/),
 * Can you confirm if the WP Cron is working correctly on your site?
 * If the test mentioned in this doc fails: [https://backwpup.com/docs/my-backup-jobs-dont-seem-to-run-as-scheduled/](https://backwpup.com/docs/my-backup-jobs-dont-seem-to-run-as-scheduled/),
   I would suggest reaching out to hosting support to confirm once regarding the
   WP-Cron.
   Let me know how it goes.

 * OK, we will check WP Cron.
   But yesterday we had another strange behave. Our archive
   format is .zip and the file backup yesterday was made as a .tar All other backups
   are .zip as in the setting.Would it be possible that something goes wrong with
   the change from old version to the new dashboard?We are currently considering
   whether to uninstall the plugin and start from scratch. What do you think?

 * Hi,
 * Thank you for your reply.
 * In the latest version (5.5), you can now set and customize the backup archive
   format directly in each job’s settings. You can also give each backup job a unique
   name so it’s easier to track which one might be behaving differently.
 * If you haven’t reinstalled yet and are okay with resetting the current jobs and
   backups, I would recommend reinstalling the plugin once. This will clear out
   any migration-related inconsistencies from the older versions and give you a
   clean setup moving forward.
 * Let me know what you find.
 * Best regards,
