Really strange things are happening on all of my WP Installations where I use Updraft Plus. Due to the erroneous backups being created on one installation and backups not getting deleted on another installation, I went back and started checking other installations. On one, I tried to download the backup and it says backup not found. I tried a few more and none are there. I went to my Google Drive and sure enough, they are not there. There are also 4 empty UpdraftPlus folders on Google Drive and one older one that has all my backups (last one being on August 13th). This also seems to be the date that all the extra databases started getting saved on the one installation. On another, I downloaded the backup and it is the backup from a different WordPress installation (the one with all the extra db backups). I now have no idea if I actually have backups at all. Any idea what is going on here?

I did a bit more research and I have no backups since August 13th, but received no indication that anything was wrong. The reason the backup from one installation was showing up on another installation is because I used the “Rescan remote storage” link to see if there were any backups that weren’t showing up. This pulled in backups for the only site that is actually making backups and that site is making them way more often than it should and not deleting the older backups. I guess you can’t use that rescan link if you don’t have subfolders in the UpdraftPlus folder on your remote storage which you can’t do without the premium plugin, but there was indication of that so now I have my installations showing a lot of backups that don’t actually exist. I don’t know if there is any way to reverse this.
