# Backups overwrite previous versions

 * I have setup daily interval backups, to retain 3 backups.
 * But every time the backup runs, all 3 backups are backed up with the most recent
   version.
 * When I click “3 sets available”, the dates shown are all today, within 5 minutes,
   when the last backup was run.
 * How do I fix this?

   and see if that fixes it… a few people have had the same problem as you, and 
   that fixed it for them.

 * If you updated in the interval between my last post and this one, then please
   update again – the dev version had a new bug in it which you’ll want to avoid!

 * Thanks for your suggestion. I have updated it to the dev version after your last
   message and I’ll check back tomorrow to let you know if tomorrow backup works
   as it should.
 * Although, even if this works, it might not be the best solution for me, because
   I would need an addon (the one that allows to specify multiple subdirectories
   in dropbox, for my multiple sites) and the dev version isn’t allowing addons.
 * Is there any way around this? (if the dev version works) ?

 * If you’ve bought a paid add-on, then you should use [http://updraftplus.com/forums/](http://updraftplus.com/forums/)
   for support – the wordpress.org forum is for the free version.
 * If you’re thinking of buying an add-on in future (but haven’t bought it yet),
   then you don’t need to worry – the paid version already has this bug-fix too.

 * Thanks David, that dev version has fixed the problem.
 * I’m a bit confused by your last message. Are you referring to the bug of overwriting,
   or the bug between the 2 dev versions.

 * If you download the free dev version from wordpress.org, then it has no add-ons.
   If you want to try it with add-ons, then you should use the support forum at 
   [http://updraftplus.com](http://updraftplus.com) and then we can email you a 
   version – the wordpress.org forum rules don’t allow us to provide support for
