 * I’m looking for a backup plugin that works similarly to how BackUpWordPress should,
   but is currently supported.
    We need something that has the limit to how many
   backup are stored, that backups up the whole site, not just the dbs, and has
   an exclude list (because wp in in root, and there’s a lot of stuff in there)
   BackUpWordPress should be perfect, but we’re having some problems (the exclude
   list doesn’t seem to be excluding) and the last post on his forum was 8 month
   ago. Any other options?
 * Many thanks

 * thanks – I’d seen that, but was hoping I’d missed something that would do more
   than just the databases

 * It’s kind of amazing and frightening that the largest blogging platform in the
   world, with millions of users, has no actively supported backup product that
   supports files+database.

 * Here’s what I got searching a bit in this site:
    - [DBC Backup](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/dbc-backup/) – only database.
    - [WP S3 Backups](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-s3-backups/) – seems
      to backup everything (not clear from the webpage) but needs an Amazon S3 account.
    - [eFiles Backup](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/efiles-backup/) – only
      on-demand backups.
    - [Remote Database Backup](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/remote-database-backup/)–
      automated, but only database.
    - [WordPress Backup](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-backup/) –
      no scheduled backups, have to enter path of specific item to backup.
    - [WordPress Automatic Online Backup](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpressbackup/)–
      needs (free) account at wordpressbackup.com, no email backup yet.
 * None looks as comprehensive as BackUpWordPress.
 * Cheers.

 * Hi there,
 * Unfortunately I’ve been too busy for the last year. So I didn’t find time to
   develop BackUpWordPress any further.
 * I’m looking for somebody to take over development for this and other plugins
   I’ve written.
 * Is ther anybody out there?
 * cheers roland
