    Now a “date” and a “-” have appeared inside the description, which gets in the way and I don’t know where to remove it, the description is shorter than I want. Take it off!

    In version 22.7, we’ve included the Date and Separator in the meta description field UI to help users understand that Google and other search engines might display the date in the meta description within search results. Please note that the date and separator snippets won’t appear in the meta description tag within the page’s source code. We understand your preference not to have them. This feature will be removed in the next release (Yoast SEO v 22.8), so once it’s available, be sure to update your plugin.
