 * Hi,
 * I’ve set up my shiny new WP blog, and have posting working ok, and themes, and
   media uploads (via the browser route, anyway), but there are a bunch of errors
   when I try to do certain other tasks such as deleting plugins.
 * When I try to delete the Hello, Dolly plugin, I get the following errors:
 *     ```
       Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp//1244642684) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/www/www.example.uk.com) in /home/www/www.example.uk.com/htdocs/blog/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1924

       Warning: touch() [function.touch]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp/1244642684) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/www/www.example.uk.com) in /home/www/www.example.uk.com/htdocs/blog/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 174

       Warning: fileowner() [function.fileowner]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp/1244642684) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/www/www.example.uk.com) in /home/www/www.example.uk.com/htdocs/blog/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 628

       Warning: unlink() [function.unlink]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp/1244642684) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/www/www.example.uk.com) in /home/www/www.example.uk.com/htdocs/blog/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 630
       ```
 * It seems to me that the file path here is nonsense – ‘/home/www/’ and then the
   rest of the address, and that I just need to change a setting so it can find
   the right path. I’ve tried all day though, and can’t find the setting that needs
   to be changed anywhere. Any ideas anyone?
 * TIA
 * The file path looks correct (apart from the example domain name). Have you spoken
   to your hosting provider? Looks like a server restriction.
