 * Hi,
 * i recently used the P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler)-Plugin and found out, that
   the custom sidebars plugin effects page performance a lot as it is **responsible
   for 24.49% of page loading time**. This is very high rate.
 * Below you will find the performance rates of the several plugins running on my
   blog. Is it possible to decrease the performance level of your plugin i.e. by
   using a Cache Plugin like W3 Total Cache? Which files should be minified / loading
   asynchronously without breaking the frontend display of the sidebars?

 * Hi Nick,
 * I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
 * I could reproduce the same result on my test site using P3 (Plugin Performance
   Profiler)-Plugin therefore i have notified this to the plugin developer to get
   his invaluable reply regarding why it is taking this much loading time and how
   it can be optimized or whether there is anything wrong with P3 Performance Profiler
   plugin.
 * The plugin developer will reply here shortly.
 * Thanks,

 * Hi [@nick](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nick/),
 * thanks for that valuable feedback! I have already optimized several aspects of
   the plugin but did not do an actual benchmark so far. Using P3 and own debugging
   code we will hopefully find some bottlenecks and can optimize the performance
   in the next release.

 * Just to add my input…I also use your plugin, and I also profiled my site with
   P3, and Custom Sidebars is my highest resource hog of all my plugins. And yes,
   we all have a lot of sidebars, because that’s the need that the plugin fills.(
   I have posts of teacher profiles, and each post page NEEDS an individual sidebar
   for each individual’s profile, which are unique) So obviously cutting down on
   sidebars defeats the purpose of the very good plugin (except that it takes forever
   for pages to load) I’m exaggerating, I know. Don’t send me a bunch of troubleshooting
   proceedures, I’ve done them all already.
 * So I’m hanging on also…waiting for an update that will hopefully fix the issue
   some, or at least make it ‘less’ of an issue. (cause when you take MORE resources
   than Jetpack, your plugin is in trouble dear friends!)
 * Peace-out.

 * Hi Donna,
 * I hope you are well today and thank you for your valuable feedback here.
 * We will fix it progressively in the future versions of plugin.

 * To keep this thread alive for those thinking of using Custom Sidebars Pro | It’s
   a great plugin, except for the slow load times. I’ve just built a site which
   integrates the plugin in every page. Unhappily, the plugin slows load times 2.5
   to 4.5 seconds normally and occasionally even more.
 * I’m another user waiting for an update for this otherwise extremely useful plugin.
 * If anyone knows of an alternative plugin to use in the meantime, please post.
 * Thanks

 * My issue has been fixed: but only when I upgraded to a new server. It’s an essential
   plugin for us and a pleasure to use. I don’t know what in the upgrade fixed the
   problem with load times, unfortunately, but wanted to let others with the problem
   of slow load times know how the issue resolved in this instance.

 * Hi Mark,
 * Awesome, great to see you got that fixed by upgrading to a new server.
 * If you have any issue with the Pro version of Custom Sidebars plugin then please
   ask it on our WPMU DEV forum using this from [http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/#question](http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/#question)
   as WordPress.org discourages support of commercial products here (see: [Commercial products are not supported here](http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products)).
 * Have a fantastic day!
 * Cheers,
    Vinod Dalvi
