Please can we ban plugins from redirecting to their own dash page upon activation? For example if I have several plugins inactive and select 4 of them by ticking the boxes and then press activate, if the first one redirects to its own dash page, the following three plugins are not activated.

That’s not a good idea. Many times it makes sense for that to happen as there are plugins that are an interface to a service and cannot work unless you have an active account on that service.

Could they not instead put a banner notification (is that what they are called?) saying “complete setup here” that you then have to click or dismiss?

If not, then wordpress needs a notification to say “you asked for 4 plugins to activate, but 3 of them didn’t get activated”. If I press something, I expect it to happen.
