 * Hi,
 * I’m just testing out this plugin so have a brand new WordPress install on my
   dev machine, no other plugins.
 * I’ve set it up as per the ‘Instructions’ page.
 * When I go to settings, fill in the credentials and save it to try and populate
   the properties, it shows:
 * `There are currently 0 properties listed, last updated on .`
 * I’ve tried adding the following to the config.php file to overcome a possible
   WP Cron issue:
 * `define('ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true);`
 * And get a different result:
 * `API Authentication Status: Failed - either your credentials are incorrect OR
   another site (perhaps a dev site) is accessing the site with the same credentials
   which Verba dissallow.`
 * I know the credentials work as I’ve connected using an example connection request.
 * Any ideas where I’m going wrong?

 * I have the same problem, although adding “define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true);”
   changes nothing for me. No API status at all.
    Help?

 * 3 weeks with no reply? Are the devs still here??

 * I’ve noticed the same problem, exact some error as davies. I’ve had the plugin
   running for a while on a website, it’s generally been fine.
 * Checked the wp-error log and couldn’t see anything related. All the properties
   have stopped showing. However I have managed to get the properties showing up
   again, however oddly, the error is still showing. So I’m not sure if they’ll
   be updating properly? Or if this will occur again?
 * Maybe you can both try what I did in the meantime. Download ‘WP Crontrol’ plugin.
   This plugin should show 2 cron jobs for the plugin..
 * vpscheduledaily
    vpschedulepopulate
 * Find these in the cron list and tell them both to ‘Run Now’. Following this I
   got the properties showing up again. This may not work if you database wasn’t
   already populated? Please let me know how you get on or if you find a solution.

 * Hi,
 * I also have the same error message, I’ve not touched cron settings yet but I
   have properties showing and it’s showing the following in the Vebra plugins settings
   page:
 * There are currently 178 properties listed, last updated on 2016/07/13/05/21/52.
 * API Authentication Status: Failed – either your credentials are incorrect OR
   another site (perhaps a dev site) is accessing the site with the same credentials
   which Verba dissallow.

 * I’m running WordPress version 4.5.3 so not sure if this has introduced an issue.
 * No idea what’s going on here.

 * beesmartdesign thanks for the advice but unfortunately this hasn’t worked for
   me. I’ve never been able to populate my site with anything from Vebra and my
   API has never confirmed itself or thrown an error up.

 * I’m not certain a new WordPress version would have been the source of the issue–
   though it may be worth rolling back to an older version to test this, perhaps
   Vebra have changed something within their own system?
 * It may be that users with new API login details – like henryscat – are now unable
   to get authenticated, whereas as other users – such as myself – who have been
   running the plugin for a while are picking up the error but it’s still functioning
   with occasional drops in service.
 * Unfortunately it’s difficult for me to debug as the only valid API details I
   have are for a client website and I’m hesitant as they’re a live site and business.
   My PHP skills are pretty rudimentary so I’m afraid I can’t give any pertinent
   advice, but you can see where the conditional is occurring if you look at the
   file:
 * `Line 31: vebra-properties/includes/vebra_feed.php`
 * Henryscat, have you tried contacting Vebra support? (propertysoftwaregroup.com).
   They may be able to at least confirm the source of the problem is the plugin.

 * Thanks for taking the time beesmartdesign.
 * What worries me most is developing a website for a client using this plugin yet
   there seems to be no support for it. So even if I do get it working, will I just
   be spending every month trying to fix it again?
 * I appreciate the plugin is free, but I’d rather pay something and receive some
   support than pay nothing and have to check the site everyday to see if it’s still
   operating properly.
 * I’ve contacted Vebra support now. I’ll await a reply from them.

 * Hi – I am one of the developers and I would request that if you have furstrating
   issues please email – we have contact links all over the plugin details and you
   will get a much quicker response. There has been a recent update courtesy of
   Matthew Brooks which solved the API connection issue he was having and may sort
   the issue for you.
 * We have learnt alot over the last year and are aware of a number of issues over
   and above this one and a major re-write is underway. It is highly likely though
   that we will have to move this into the commercial domain as we simply don’t
   have the time to do it justice as you have pointed out.

 * Has anyone here managed to get this plugin to work yet? Support for it seems
   non-existent

 * We often hear of connection issues with the vebra API and in the majority of
   cases this comes down to one of three issues (and where they don’t we have always
   done our best to resolve these issues).
    1) Incorrect entry of API details 2)
   Having two sites running simulteneously that use the same API details which Vebra
   block 3) Hosting issues – many low cost hosting providers now simply disable
   wordpress cron and ajax or have very limited resources and scripting limits causing
   the feed to stop halfway through. You really do get what you pay for!
 * So we have just released a new plugin though (see the notice in the details now)
   that includes a major rewrite, so tricks to get around the vebra API block on
   simulteneous sites and better styling. Unfortunately we have had to make the
   decision to go commercial as people just don’t donate and it is too much work
   for us to keep up with support (as we clearly don’t!) and API changes and still
   feed our families. see [http://www.wppropertyfeed.co.uk](http://www.wppropertyfeed.co.uk)
