# basic question about new posts

 * I’ve just started using wordpress and have set up about 5 static pages, one of
   which is the default ‘home page’. One of the pages I’ve created I’ve titled “
   blog” and would like all my posts to show up on that page. Even though I see 
   how easy it is to write a new post and publish it (seemingly to a new page id
   every time I preview it), I don’t see how I can write new posts and assign them
   into a certain page. Can anyone help?

 * Pages are generally for static content…
 * Posts are for your blog posts/news posts etc…

 * Why not have a category template which displays all the posts posted to the blog
   category? That would provide a single webpage (note not wp page) from which to
   access all ‘blog’ posts.

 * another question, since you guys were so helpful before:
 * if you look at the site – the-beehive.com/cafe you’ll see that the nav links 
   on the left have a blank category between home and about us.
 * When I set it up, I chose to show a static page, which I created without a name
   and selected because when I gave it a name I had two there – both which said ‘
   home’. But I don’t have two pages created – in other words, I only have the same
   number of pages as I do intended categories.
 * Any ideas?
